OS BENEFÍCIOS DAS ABORDAGENS ESTÉTICAS NA DIÁSTASE PUERPERAL
Uma Revisão Integrativa da Literatura
Abstract
Objective: To synthesize scientific evidence on the benefits of aesthetic approaches in puerperal diastasis. Methods: Integrative literature review, with searches in the BVS and CAPES Periodicals databases (2021-2025), using the descriptors "Diastasis Recti Abdominis", "Postpartum Period" and "Aesthetics". Eight studies were included after applying the eligibility criteria. Results: Aesthetic interventions (electrotherapy, radiofrequency, manual techniques) demonstrated efficacy in reducing the diastasis width (1.5 cm to 3.0 cm) and improving muscle tone. Significant positive impacts were observed in the psychosocial sphere, with increased self-esteem, improved body image and quality of life. The studies reported a high safety profile and patient satisfaction. The integrated role of the aesthetician in the multiprofessional team was fundamental. Conclusion: Aesthetic approaches represent a valid and safe therapeutic strategy for puerperal diastasis, with functional and emotional benefits, recommending their integration into woman-centered, multiprofessional care models.
Keywords: Diastasis Recti Abdominis; Postpartum Period; Aesthetics.
